Thunderball - You Officially Suck!
 

I have defended you guys for a long time and now it is time to stop defending you because all it did was allow you to suck even harder!

I joined to help you fund updates. Those updates never came. The most fucked up part is that 90% of your members could perform the fucking updates for you if you'd ask!

The list of why you suck:

1) Individual URL scan has been broken for months. Doc asked to have it fixed back in August 2009!

2) Link checker needs to check for nofollow tags. Something that would require 2 more lines of code. I asked for this back in November 2009.

3) Your URL scanner removed the www. from the URL. This fucks up all new trade URLs added to the system. Doc asked for this to be worked on back in September 2009.

4) Multiple URL verifier. Requested in October 2009. Bond said it can't be done. Really? Then you people need to pull your heads out of your asses because it can be done. It's called a fucking LOOP!

5) Special characters like ' in an anchor cause your script to shit itself and it is unable to verify a link. This is a SIMPLE fix! September 2009.

6) The ability to sort trades. Requested in May 2009. Why your system doesn't do this alphabetically by default is beyond me!


So what do I really get for being a member? The ability to send Email to other members? Big fucking woop-dee-doo!

Personally I think you should be charging $5 a month and there should be no free system at all. Then you'd have a few hundred to a few K a month more than you have coming in now. This thing could be programmed correctly and paying would get you more than the ability to ask someone "WTF happened to our trade?"

It's been shitty for a long time.

Great concept but it does need these kind of updates, but the owner no longer works on it. I think he was trying to sell it for $8k recently.

Sounds like it's time to make a new way for people to find trade partners....

A lot of your requests make sense, and are plausible; the only reason it would not allow multiple URLs is due to a really crappy API design. Which, well, kind of points back to the other issues, too.

I gave up on that site about a year ago. Nice post.

I've never used thunderball because all I hear is complaints complaints complaints.

It would not bother me to use a service that charges $5 or $10 a month to get it done right.

Sure... I can help with that. I need to know what to build though, I have used Tb maybe twice. Let me know the features, what is needed for trade/scam protection, all the goods and I will look it over... One way or another I will build it or I know someone that will.

I noticed that too.
Also a big problem is with paid and free members,

I exchanged more links as free member then now as paid.

The crazy shit is it didn't remove the www. before.. so simply revert that code back... so fucking simple...

Stopped using it years ago.... sure glad I made that decision.

The guy who owns it "Mr Bond" is an INSANE loser. Guy is a mental nutfuckcase. Ever see him post? It's a wonder he is able to survive without a handler or being institutionalized.

I would love someone to put something together that works! I was hoping one of you guys would have bought it when he was selling it so it could have been fixed.

I know the system inside and out. Know what it needs, and know what its missing.

Buy him out, build a new system with a proper source code, and so features are easily added. Import all old data into new system.

Run proper system like you give a fuck about what you do.

Anyhow seeing as you cant get sites out of it once registered, all trade requests just go into the junk folder now.

i would love for someone to create something better, would pay a monthly fee for it too.

Yeah, hangs up on me constantly as well. It's a bummer.

Plus I'm always getting spammed with requests by the same three or four people, they drown out any actual/legit trades.

TB has sucked since it started... never quite understood why people used it
