Who R Best Reseller Hosts?

I am working on a number of projects, and I always seem to get back to this hosting issue. I am thinking MOJO, if possible, is best option for this if offered. But I am looking for some host feedback or those who've done some reseller hosting.

I am not looking to be the next anybody. I simply have a need that keeps popping up, and I am frankly tired of referring their business elsewhere for domains, hosting, scripts and so forth. I would rather be able to do it myself.

Some years back I bought a domain, licensed the WHM web hosting and registrar software. Also had a website build back in 2007 I think it was. However, I had gotten involved in some other things along the way and distracted but always seem to end up back at this point.

I will look at buying some people selling off hosting clients and domains later down the line to build up business. However, in the short term I am looking to start small with reseller for some of those I consult for. As well, locally here in my town via old business contacts. From there, I am then looking to do something like BHE has done in the past with their 50/50 split with new models and new webmasters, as well as allowing use of my scripts, and other things.

Obviously that is vastly simplified, but I am giving some idea of long term plan for this. I have been picking people's brains over the years, and heard plenty of the horror stories. As well as where to farm out tech support, and steps to take in this whole thing.

Anyway,... I am looking for a solid reseller to start out with and allows me to take my clients when the time comes. Which I have been told is an important thing to specify in reselling deals.

Feel free to hit me up privately if you like. I am looking for some different recommendations, and anyone who's had experience in this over the years. Thanks in advance.

Hey Barefootsies, why don`t you check out the big hosting forum (I won`t mention the name here for obvious reasons) with masses of unbiased company reviews/feedback and business opportunities. Email/ICQ me if you need the name (I`m sure you probably know it anyway).

I run a box for clients at PacificRack using exactly what you have mentioned script wise for pretty much the same or similar purpose.

Wasn't there some drama involving them in the past 6-12 months?

Other than reading their name occasionally, I know little about them. But it seems like there was something about who owned them, or bought them and whatever. I typically do not pay that much attention to that shit since it does not effect me.

Sounds like you are a happy client with them. :thumbsup

check out secured servers, they just came out with a new site and some great deals, they would be the ideal host to resell with

www.securedservers.com

I am still shopping around and getting quotes. I am thinking of a VPS with something close to the following specs.

Quote:

Dedicated Managed Server
Minimum 2.0Ghz core2duo or equivalent
Minimum 4 Gig Ram
2 One TB Hard Drives in Raid Array
10mbps connection expandable
Dedicated Firewall with minimum 8 ip's
Linux with CentOs or Fedora
Latest Php with soap and other libraries
Mysql 5.x
Apache
I am looking to buy some smaller hosting companies and clients selling out in the short term. Then I will look at data centers, or building my own backbone down the road. Right now I simply need to diversify a bit, and have a very easy option for clients web hosting needs.

I get tired of referring them elsewhere and then my programmers, and myself, have to learn all these different processes and issues with various cheap hosts clients are picking. It simply is much easier to set them up on my own, then it will speed things up, and offer added value for support.

Great success.

Certified has a pretty cool looking reseller program. I'm not sure if they have everything you need, but it might be worth a look.

Have you checked out Oxeo? I believe they are located in ISPrime's data center.

I've never had a single issue and haven't heard of anyone actually hosting there having issues either.

I just set up another box there just last week. I am definitely happy being there, regardless of said drama.
