Small Plane Crashes in a building in Austin
(CNN) -- A small airplane crashed Thursday morning into a building in Austin, Texas, said Lynn Lundsford of the Federal Aviation Administration.
Firefighters used a ladder truck and other equipment to hose down the blaze at the building, which police said was located in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/02/18/tex...ex.html?hpt=T1 Interesting Facts : 2010 : A Small Plane (Cesna Like)in a building = Wings, Tail, Wheels, etc... 2001 : A Big Plane (Airbus/Boeing Like) in Pentagon = Not ONE Plane piece :2 cents: |
My local news jumped the gun saying it was not terrorism or anything criminal.
Yet MSNBC is saying now that the building housed some FBI offices so they arent ruling things in or out yet. |

sounds like an inside job.

It's dominating the news here. I know someone who works one building over. Majorly fucked up. I guess there are sensitive CIA and FBI docs in that building.

as if the people in austin arent paranoid enough, this has to happen to them, the gun stroes must be packed right now, people buying survival kits and heading to the hills |
Now they're saying that the pilot possibly set his own house on fire before taking off today. It's looking like he wanted to kill himself. What an asshole.

I think you are confusing us with College Station, not syaing we don't have gun lovers here but Austin is a VERY liberal city. The building hit is the IRS building |
Im sure we will be seeing more and more of this as more Americans hit rock bottom.

Who says that he burnt it down? Perhaps the person(s) who kidnapped him and wanted to use his plane were the ones to do so. Then, they drove him at gun point to his plane, tied him up, tossed him in the back and flew into the building. And thus everyone is none the wiser, thinking that it was just a random nutjob suicide. |

A big plane travels between 450mph and 585mph ... this accident was most likely a 150mph collision a small plane carries 20 to 50 gallons of fuel A big plane carries hundreds to a thousand plus gallons of fuel ... this plane most likely had less than 20 gallons of fuel small plane + low speed + low fuel = not big fire to burn up parts. throw an ice cube at the wall at 10mph and pieces will be everywhere throw another piece of ice at 100mph and good luck finding anything but a few drops of water http://www.impawards.com/1997/poster...acy_theory.jpg just sayin :2 cents: |
He's a dead nut job who had tax problems. Why does he have to be painted here as left-wing or right-wing or middle-wing. Who cares how he voted, he was mentally disturbed and represented only himself.

Amazes me that NBC being a fucking MEDIA COMPANY can't get their fucking aspect ratio correct in their window. It's a 4:3 picture being stretched to a 16:9 ratio.
Fucking morons. |

Things like this don't happen here in Austin :(
It's really sad that somebody who has had problems with the IRS for almost 20 years just goes nuts and tries to take out an office building with a lot more than just IRS workers. Even more so after in his letter he says how horrible 9/11 was... hmm... some sound thinking there. Local news has been doing a great job covering this story. Said he was fighting so loud with his wife last night that the police were called. His wife and daughter then left for a motel and came back to a burned down house this morning. Very sad there are people like this in the World. He brought all these problems on himself, thinking tax laws did not apply to him and he had figured out means of avoiding being taxed. |

I'm not seeing him thinking that from his manifesto, really its the reverse. Tax loopholes available to rich and elite and not to you, me or him. The government via the IRS does not give 2 shits about us, so much for government for the people by the people. His tirade about the Wall Street crash in 29 versus now is dead on. Amazing that no one is reported dead and only 2 are hurt |

Funny that when the NTSB has done plane crashes loaded with Fuel they always have more parts left. |
