$4K... a lot of money.

So, you are talking about laser surgery on the eyes? This would mean perfect vision forever? Sounds interesting. It could be worth it. I never tried it myself.

Ya.. forever... unless you need reading glasses when ur old. And you dont want to do it til at least late 20's cause your eyes change.

I Pay $100 yr eye exam and $400+ in contacts and solution.. plus if I actually want to buy and wear glasses... $600+.....

best $4k I ever spent.

I'll never forget the next day when I took the dark glasses off and walked down to Sunset Blvd and looked around. Everything was so clear.. like looking thru new eyes. It almost brought me to tears. Pretty incredible. The doc will give you some good drugs to take before and after.. use them... especially the eye drops.

good luck.

I had it done a while back... It feels like I got a new pair of eyes. No more contact lens hassles or losing glasses.

my gf was asking me about getting this, but its a shit load of money.

ive had a client a few years back that did lasik and said its best to wait until you are late 20's and hes seen people come in when they are 18 or 20 then back again a few years later

Ruined my night vision and I still think it was worth it. Love it.

Heard nothing but positives from a couple people, although I think glasses on ladies are sexy

4k? I only paid a little over 2k. I can't complain, I like to see things. :)

Having your eye cut open with a little power saw is the worst part...and when they tell you to take some tylenol PM and take a nap afterwards, do so...unless you like the feeling of bad sunburn on your eyeballs. This was years ago though...maybe they've changed.

I had it done in 2005. My eyes hurt like hell for 6 hours (where you have to do the drops every 30 or 60 minutes, I can't remember what it was). Then I slept for 10 hours straight (until the next morning), walked to the window and opened the drapes, and looked out over the city. I will never forget that moment, since I had worn glasses and contacts since I was 5 (meaning 20 fucking years). I could see EVERYTHING! Absolutely amazing that such an easy surgery can be such a game changer for someone. My visions is 'better than perfect' and I don't have the problems with glare that everyone talks about. :)

I did mine about 3 weeks ago... Just getting over the dryness now, and I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out :)

Raf1 02-22-2010 05:29 AM

my eyes are good, but I'll look into this for my girlfriend.

rowan 02-22-2010 05:42 AM

Does lasik get rid of eye floaters? I have a few of those now, and I'm only in my mid 30s. :Oh crap

kane 02-22-2010 05:53 AM

I have never had it, but I have two friends that have. They both had the dryness issues that people talk about, but both of them say it was the best thing they have ever done and it was well worth the money.

MindWaste 02-22-2010 06:08 AM

useless i poked my eyes out years ago.. I even ripped my toung out and made my eardrums explode...
