I've tried a couple of scripts and the one I went with was Smart Thumbs.
I was a complete novice and even I with no script expirience got it up and running. I've found it pretty easy to use and does what I need it to do.

Smart thumbs, stream rotator or tgpx, check features and then decide what you need...Stream rotator has best algo, period, ST has best features and easy to use imho, tgpx is similar to ST....I again repeat, if you are after algo go with stream if you are after features check other 2.
