Plugin to improve WP search feature?
 

In a word, the WP search feature sucks. Any recommendations on what you think is the best WP plugin for this issue?

How, exactly is the WP search feature bad?

Inaccurate.

see if there is a plug in that uses lucene.

the 2 above are very good, although search unleashed had some trouble with custom fields or code formatting or something like that, don't remember exactly. But both are very good :thumbsup

I have use both search unleashed and search reloaded, both are good.

I've jumped through a bunch of hoops trying to get Wordpress search to behave in a very specific way recently, in fact it annoyed me to the point that I wrote a small rant about it.

Search everything and search unleashed get my vote as well though, as far as the plugins go

I use search everything, I've found it works best when you bother to set the options in the admin :)

its funny.. the only threads of "support help" that get responses are the ones with wordpress on topic.

now if you ask any other kind of business related question, you won't get responses, or just ironic outputs...
