For those that don't know who I am talking about his name is Stuart Lawley, chairman and president of ICM Registry who told XBIZ on Monday that he will move forward with the .XXX proposal and start selling names as soon as possible.

Cliff Notes...

Dispute resolution judges, 2-1, ruled in favor of ICM Registry on Friday, agreeing that ICANN's decision to nix .XXX were arbitrary.

ICM Registry, which spent more than $3 million on legal fees over .XXX, claimed in more than 1,000 pages of documents that ICANN acted inconsistently with its own articles of incorporation and bylaws.

ICM Registry contends that a .XXX proposal has a lot of support among online adult businesses because so many of them ? more than 100,000 pre-reservations ? sought domain name addresses with the .XXX suffix.

Lawley on Monday said that the pre-reservation system still is in effect for online businesses in the adult entertainment industry.

They have been saying it would be available for over 5 years now. Lets hope this is par for the course and it doesn't go through. The guy is pure scum, would love to see this not happen for many reasons, one of them being him not hitting that big pay day at the expense of everyone here.

1 - the group who will claim names to resell
2 - those who have a non adult.com name, those will get phone calls from pushy sellers that their name is being claimed on the .xxx ltd, forced sales will be made ( this whole idea is about that )
3 - the name registrant players. They will see a lot of extra cash coming their way.

I still dont see how this plan seems to be motivated to make the NET a safer place for the younger ones.
