slap a wordpress install somewhere and run relative topic articles, videos, & news. i'd probably blog the main page and put the forum on forum.divorceddads.com, but you can leave the forum on the www. and slap the blog on blog.divorceddads.com with a nice prominent link in the forums header somewhere.

either way, building it strictly as a community could be hard. also get some forum posters filling that sucker up. $5 submissions had an offer a while back for very well priced forum posting services. might be worth dropping him a line.

Not a bad idea, there's probably some mainstream niche dating sites that would cater very well to a "divorced dad" crowd.

Divorced dads want 3 things... sex without strings, meals cooked, house cleaned. Offer that and you have a winner

To be honest to you. This could be a gold mine for you. Maybe stick it as a forum for now, adding a few pictures here & there. I can imagine most divorced men are horny & lonely at night. This shall be a fantastic place for them to come before you open a site linked with purchased content from lots of places for low cost membership. 10,000 divorced fathers paying just 1$ a month is a pretty nice income!

Of course, Dating has been said - but also "seduction" - might want to check out some affiliate programs to offer courses in "seduction" - David DeAngelos "Double your dating" comes to mind.

The reason I mention "seduction" is that many men who go through divorce (kids or not) have been beaten down by their ex, and lost a lot of money / assets; and the niche self-help area of seduction can give a boost of confidence & alpha energy... I know, as a divorced guy, that I found a lot of value in studying seduction; it helped get me laid, and get my confidence back.

I wouldn't link to POF, but Match.com (register through cj.com) for sure, and maybe some other "dating sites" - AFF might work too; or Ashley Madison. The reason I wouldn't link to POF, is that as a "free" dating site, they make all their money through affiliate programs & links to match/seduction/ google ads, etc.

But the point is to make it content rich for your keywords; and the traffic will build.

Go search "divorce" on Clickbank and start looking at the options regarding legal and relationship advice for divorcees. Fucktons of products there. There's also an affiliate program out there that operates solely on divorce packages, can't remember what the fuck it's called now, was looking at it a while back. they were offering pretty good payouts on "Save your marriage" and "How to deal with kids in divorce" packages.

Might want to pepper the blog / website w/ Google adsense, geo-targeted for "divorce attorneys" - I know legal adword terms are some of the highest PPC terms around, so you might do well with adsense. Worth testing for sure!

I'd definitely Google to see if there's any other site even remotely similar, if you haven't already. I don't see this as adult though...more mainstream...perhaps a personals section, along with resources, legal links, etc. If there's a way, I'd separate by areas for dads to more easily meet up with other dads for coffee or whatever....or to start their own local meeting groups (they could post pics of events, etc.) Probably different dad groups like dads w/kids who live with them, dads w/kids who live elsewhere but get visitations, and dads w/kids who never get to see them? And don't exclude gay/bi dads :)

Keep the forum. Add articles, advice, legal referrals, entertainment for divorced dads to do alone or with their kids. Dating. Seduction. Google $$$. Etc.

Do some more research on what other divorced dad resources are out there, Howard - and take over the niche :thumbsup:thumbsup

This is THE resource for Dads who want to be part of their kids lives through divorce. it's run by some attorneys who have big time followers on the forum. I was an active member while going through my divorce and the resources were excellent.

This is a HUGE market in mainstream. Your domain is great. These guys even travel around and put on seminars for dads now. There is a lot of room for competition here.

Thanks, Sharky - I've been doing my research and came across that site yesterday. Agreed. It's a great resource! There are several good sites that offer a lot of different info catering to Divorced Dad's needs. If we do this right, it will be a combination of things including maybe working with these guys or replicating what they're doing by bringing in a network of attorneys like they have. I think we can definitely compete BIG in this arena :thumbsup :thumbsup
