Buying Domains
 

If I want to look at all the domains that are for sale with a particular word. What is the best website to search? This is a mainstream domain I am after.

I would assume sedo?

Sedo.com is the best place to start. Some others are Afternic.com, Tdnam.com, Pool.com, etc...

I think Spunky wrote a tool specifically for this. Otherwise, yes, just head to the big registrars and do it the dull way.

A couple others not mentioned are SnapNames.com and NameJet.com. Brujah is right though - with Sedo being the largest marketplace, that's usually the best place to start. Lot of junk but that's what you have to wade through anytime dealing with domains. :/

Another thing you can do is join one of the domain industry forums and post in their respective Names Wanted section. Very very little mainstream domain activity happens here or I'd suggest doing it here in Buy/Sell.

If you post the type of mainstream domain you need along with your budget maybe one of us has something for sale, I own/manage 1752 currently and only a handful are adult, spit some specs of what you need and I'll scan my list.

Hit http://www.webmasterinter.net/snapnames.com , pick adult category and you'll get tons of good expired stuff for 70$, often domains that are 10-15 yrs old., enjoy

BTW as mentioned before, some of us here including myself have mainstream domains. I have about 2k or so of them and I price things reasonably. Feel free to shoot me an email with what you're looking for and show you what I have that fits w/ pricing.
