I do not know the full story, but I dont think the previous owner simply forgot to renew it. The site just vanished from one day to another. I am still very curious to know the full story here! I know some webmasters in the Asian niche knows what happend, I am not one of them:-)

yeah thought the site was dead / shut down not dropped.

That site once upon a time owned the niche it was pretty much thehun of the asian niche . I have no idea who bought it , when the site was going downhill over 2 yrs ago I tried to buy it few times but no response . <sigh> Actually several people made offers but the ownership of that site was always weird , dodgey . In the end , the site pretty much just went to hell .
If you had anything listed on there back in the days it was pretty much guaranteed sales .
Kinda sad it was a great site that gone sour .

Used to get listings there like 7-8 years ago. Sick that It get's expired.

If anyone lose domain this way, it's his fault. Registrars got auto renewals, you can registerfor more years.
