Windows IS a virus. INTENTIONAL BSOD!

END_OF_NT_EVALUATION_PERIOD

I am not even joking.. It actually says that!!

I got the Windows 7 trial, runs great, yay windoze..
Then there's a BSOD they cause purposely
WoW
Microsoft, top virus writers

Only multiple gigabyte virus in the world: WINDOZE

Why the HELL would a Windows 7 trial have this BSOD in it?
First it shuts down the usb controller, then the sound, then it goes to the BSOD

Microsoft :321GFY

BIGTYMER 03-01-2010 09:01 PM

Time to buy the full version.

CYF 03-01-2010 09:02 PM

they DO want you to buy it eventually :1orglaugh

MrMaxwell 03-01-2010 09:06 PM

I'm, what, three months into a 12 month trial and it starts just BSODing on me?
And they think I'm going to buy their garbage?
Please

they sent out emails to everyone last month saying the evaluation period is up and your computer will start shutting down unless you pay for it.

an OS is something that you definitely want to pay for and not try to patch or use a keygen :2 cents:

Mine is up in .. August ..
So I guess I'm half way through it
When I googled the error I saw idiots seeing this in Vista or XP
No idea why I would be seeing it half way through a Windows 7 trial
They told me when I installed it, one year, after one year it'll reboot every two hours

Agent 488 03-01-2010 09:10 PM

start a microsoft help forum.

make sure you have a serial from M$ for the trial. The 1 year mark is from when you received it, not from when you install it. I put it on my Mac about three months ago and got the emails last month saying my trial was up and thats what a rep at M$ told me

3,500+ Posts on GFY and still in a position to make this huge of a complaint instead of forking over a couple hundred dollars on an OS? You might wanna rethink the way you're doing things, starting with your severely negative attitude.

Google it, you have the beta version, not the trial version, they all expire on march first.

You're right.. it's the beta version, I am pretty damned sure that this was supposed to expire August 2010, though..

It says Evaluation Copy Build 7100

BIGTYMER 03-01-2010 10:20 PM

Pay for it, steal it, or don't use it. Case closed.

Last I read it was March 1 and I just read that a couple months ago

Kroy 03-02-2010 12:58 AM

The RELEASE CANDIDATE (RC) will expire June 1. However, it will auto-shutdown every two hours beginning March.
Two weeks before that, Windows notified the user that that's about to happen.

The BETA (any build before 7100) has already expired in 2009.

You cannot upgrade your RC copy with a retail version serial number, you will have to install a fresh copy of the full version...UNLESS you upgrade to Ultimate Edition and are willing to putz around with some files (I have not tried this, will not vouch for this to work):

WHY do you think it's called a Windows 7 TRIAL???????????????????

Right from the start they said it would EXPIRE.

Argos88 03-02-2010 04:24 AM

You're crying because the free version that you've been happily using, has come to an end of its license, like Microsoft warned about, released press statements about?

Hell, the copy of windows would have fired up reminders as well.

Everyone else upgraded. why are you special?

Cyber Fucker 03-02-2010 08:01 AM

I'm still on XP and I don't feel like it's a time for the upgrade. :helpme
