need advice someone been emailing me now trying to charge me with harrassment :)

so here is the scoop.

i have been getting emails meant for someone else for a long time.

i have told the person that she is emaling the wrong person repeatedly and she has even responded oh sorry a few times...it wont happen again

well anyway, it goes to my blackberry and is annoying

so she emails me again this time with a resume for some girl i should hire or something

so..i email her back asking if she will do hardcore on video, and if she will swallow :)
i thanked her for sending me her name and address and phone number

all this was done just to let her know she is an idiot and should pay attention to where she is sending private information.

anyway, i never even looked at the resume.

so....this person who works for some college in bc contacts her local police department and made up some lies saying, i have been phoning and emailing the person in the resume.
police department contacts me via email...and says hey stop it or they will press criminal harassment charges.

i know i never emailed or phoned so im not too worried.

my main concern is....can i sue the college she works for and the girl for making up lies about me to the police and, since the police responded via an official email address....that makes it official.

so...think i could do anything? ive already emailed the cop and told him i didnt do anything...and he should ask her for some form of proof as making false statements to the police is surely an offense...especially when it is to incriminate an other falsely

anyway that is my story...and i figured id get lots of good input here..lol

Agent 488 03-03-2010 07:20 AM

do you want to be the guy on the local news asking some probably young girl if she swallows?

Agent 488 03-03-2010 07:39 AM

strange situation. people are crazy.

american pervert 03-03-2010 07:52 AM

lol. if she filed a false police report that is against the law. But I would just drop it, and sign her up for some gay spam lists.

tranza 03-03-2010 07:56 AM

Damn, crazy stuff lol.

i know...wtf she is apparently some bigshot at some college but she can still file bs police reports

its the fact that my name is now on a police report that is making me mad

id like to contact a lawyer and have them officially tell her to fuck off and have the file removed...just i dont know if its possible

The Heron 03-03-2010 08:30 AM

I'm guessing she didn't file an official report since they just emailed you and said stop it. Had she filed a report I suspect you'd be having more trouble. But filing false information with the polic is a crime so she could be in trouble if she did actually file, but if it was informal you've go nothing.

Odds are pretty good that the guy who emailed you is a friend of hers.

But if she actually did file a report, you should go after her ass for filing a false police report.

L-Pink 03-03-2010 08:58 AM

Well the important question is ... does she swallow or not?

.

You don't need any attention, like the others said, drop it for now... But buy her full name .com then put up some hardcore pics with the face slightly blurred.

yeah what email did it come from?

Tom_PM 03-03-2010 09:21 AM

The police email people? Are you sure she's not punking you?
I never heard of police emailing a person regarding anything, especially with claims from some nut job on "official" virtual stationery. That in itself is weird.

Heh.. one and done. thread over.

BradM 03-03-2010 10:00 AM

Notify them she is filing a false report, and SHE has been harassing YOU and allow them to look at phone logs

BradM 03-03-2010 10:06 AM

Do it based on principal. CRAZIES are taking over and they are allowed to do a bunch of shit to normal people - and we back off. Society is accepting of insane bitches and assholes these days.

When I am wronged I go out of my way and waste my time to get even because I am sick and tired of people expecting us to roll over when THEY are insane and wrong.

I am not bragging by any means but I have had contact with the police from another state by email and even received a scanned copy of an bench warrant through email. It was indeed weird to grasp the legalities of that approach tho.

Sure, but do your part to not allow a cycle to continue.

Take everything to you local police station...cops dont email people. lol

La_Sexorcist 03-03-2010 04:19 PM

I would just not worry about it and hang on to all of her countless emails meant for someone else. If anything arises, you can show she has been emailing you for a while with ample warning that she was reaching the wrong person.

The only time a Police officer would use email is to perhaps contact a person in regards to a follow up with a complaint they filed and not investigate a crime..

To me it seems that the person knows the police officer personally...and the police officer is over stretching his role as a peace officer. I would contact the Srgt at the office where it comes from an ask them if they use email to do this?
That would be the first step...

Every time I have ever filed a complaint ie the idiot restaurant next door I know they have to by law go there personally and check it out they dont just call or send an email and tell them that they are making too much noise..lol

I magine if it ever went to court? " Your Honor I emailed the guy to tell him to stop? " Does that even sound plausible?

V_RocKs 03-03-2010 08:09 PM

I had a similar issue with a Christian college including me in their daily agenda emails for the staff...

I got these emails several times a day. I asked to be removed. Someone reaffirmed that my email was their email and they started getting pissy with me thinking I was a kid playing a joke and trying to get someone to be removed illegitimately.

Over time I decided to fake like I was hacked and my computer sent out gay porn spam. They contacted their local police who called me and I said, hey, I got hacked. What do you want me to do? This is my own email address and I asked them to remove me a looooong time ago. Besides, what conservative college admin is going to have an address like mine? They wouldn't have gotten spammed had they not made their mistake. They are liable for their own actions/or lack there of.

Now I don't get Emails from them anymore.

There is a lawyer that thinks my first initial last name @gmail.com email is his.

The email is interesting ... I've emailed to say "wrong guy" and it never stops.

He just got a job offer and was told what day to show up. I emailed that person back to say "wrong guy and unless you call him, he isn't showing up for work."

I'd hate to have that guy represent me.

The pics people mail are never fun.

Reminded me of this:

BIGTYMER 03-04-2010 03:28 AM

Thankfully you're up North were the cops are cool. Here I'd be phoning my bookie to bail me out. Yes, my bookie NOT bondsman.

k0nr4d 03-04-2010 03:29 AM

chances are the police never emailed you and it was just her or some friend of hers.

That's happened to me, it's amazing how often it happens with gmail, and my real name isn't at all common, or at least I used to think so, heh.

The resume one in my case was some young kid getting probably his first job so I cut him some slack but the temptation to fuck with him was there.

You can't log in to an email, what makes you think it's yours? It's crazy.

Leave it to Kenny to come up with kickass plan

kristin 03-04-2010 10:55 AM

I'm pretty sure you can make it so she receives way more emails than she ever sent you. =)

Cops emailing? that's probably the girls boyfriend trying to get in on the scam.
