hysterical - i was talking to a friend who goes way back in the business, and i don't know why but i mentioned the newsletter guy, I couldn't think of the name of the newsletter and he goes 'oh yeah, i can see it now, the guy's face and it's twisted' - at the same time i rememberd 'Trix' - couldn't think of his name but googled for 'adult webmaster trix'

the Guru of Gifs - reading these newsletters is very entertaining, read some. it's about as good a history of the online porn industry as exists, i'd say if the YNOT messageboard was archived it would be the only thing better.

OH Dude, serious bump for the Guru of Gifs. Was required reading for me back in the day, what a great find. Got it bookmarked for future reading. Thanks Mutt!!!

Those were good times. Not a lot of really good listserv mailings out there anymore. The last article made me sad, that's for sure.

andy fucking rocked! i never knew him personally...just emails...but was a loyal fan back in the day. i still miss his newsletters :(
