AlienQ, and others who violate the local laws. Educational Serious 101.
The state of Florida, along with many other states in the Union and countries like Canada, UK, Australia, have very stringent laws about invasion of privacy.
You can NOT do: http://www.floridalitigationguide.com/guide/35.php (1) Appropriation: Unauthorized use of a person?s name or likeness to obtain some benefit. (2) Intrusion: Physically or electronically intruding into one?s private quarters or person. (3) Public Disclosure of Private Facts: Publication of private facts that are offensive to the reasonable person and not of legitimate public concern. (4) False Light: Publication of facts that place a person in a false light even though the facts themselves may not be defamatory. Your post about me drinking is a violation of the last 3. Meanwhile, the State of Florida recognizes my rights to disclose your or anybody else's: (8) Disclosure of facts regarding a criminal case obtained from public documents does not give rise to claim for invasion of privacy. See Cape Publications, Inc. v. Hitchner, 549 So. 2d 1374, 1379 (Fla. 1989). (9) Photograph taken in a public place does not give rise to claim for invasion of privacy. See Heath v. Playboy Enterprises, Inc., 732 F. Supp. 1145, 1148 (S.D. Fla. 1990). (10) Disclosure of facts obtained from public records or proceedings do not give rise to invasion of privacy claim. See Heath v. Playboy Enterprises, Inc., 732 F. Supp. 1145, 1148 (S.D. Fla. 1990). I strongly suggest all flame warriors get themselves familiar with: http://www.dba-oracle.com/internet_l..._liability.htm (Web privacy, false light and defamation laws) and http://www.dba-oracle.com/internet_l...el_lawsuit.htm to avoid spending money on legal representations, as some of the violations considered CRIMES and involve prison sentences. have a very pleasant weekend everyone. |

Problem is that those of us who tried not to take it seriously and just go there to play were pretty much shut down, at least imho. A certain number of people there insisted that it become the next serious business board and you and Mike sure seemed to buy into that. btw, there was no insult intended in my reply above. i was giving a clue, as requested, without spamming the url. I kind of though that everybody knew about it and that the clue would be enough. |

Inside some object such as a box, car or a house in this case are definable things and not a concept at all. |
Serge, you're seriously bothering with Alien??
Wow, things must be *really* quiet in FL these days. |

If you want to have fun, there is a such a thing called verbal jousting, and if you're witty enough, it is very entertaining and loads of fun. The problem is, most can't do that and have to result to low blows and dragging up issues they don't need to be talking about. Everyone knows when they cross a line. If you got shut down, it's because you crossed it or were about to. If you were asked to play nice, as some of you were, I asked that respectfully because we didn't see a reason for some of the attacks that were about to take place. And Mike and I both appreciate and thank those who we did ask to play nice, and have. Common sense would say, don't say something to someone you wouldn't say to their face. 99.999% of you would NEVER say .01% of the things you say online to someones face, regardless of how many of you say you would. The board was a spoof, the posters will make it what they want it to be. If some pricks need to be weeded out or muzzled along the way, per the request of the members who do exercise common sense, then so be it. The issue is, we don't run the board for money. We don't want to. We don't charge people for ads. It's just a place for people to get together and talk. So when I have to spend most of my day babysitting grown men, on a project that doesn't make a penny for me, then it's sometimes just faster to muzzle the offender for a while. |

fatfoo, A substance-induced psychotic disorder is subtyped or categorized based on whether the prominent feature is delusions or hallucinations. Delusions are fixed, false beliefs. Hallucinations are seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, or smelling things that are not there. In addition, the disorder is subtyped based on whether it began during intoxication on a substance or during withdrawal from a substance. A substance-induced psychotic disorder that begins during substance use can last as long as the drug is used. A substance-induced psychotic disorder that begins during withdrawal may first manifest up to four weeks after an individual stops using the substance. The incident that I bitched about and has arisen again was exactly opposite. A well known industry veteran came on to the board and was playing. He had not attacked anyone, he was joking and having a food time. One of the biggest loons in the industry came in and made a direct, unprovoked attack and he got smacked down. Then he went running to you and Mike to bitch and the one who smacked him down got banned. There was no common sense in that and the person who made the attack is still on your board making threats and attacking people on a daily basis. The only person on that board that I had a problem with prior to was Stinky. At your request I left him alone. I never had any issue with Alien until he came in attacking a friend for no fucking reason and you chose to ban the person being attacked rather than the attacker. As I said, there was no common sense in that at all. nuff said. |
And DWB, just for the record, here are a couple of examples of what the one you left stadning has been posting:
