We made it being silly back when GFY skinned itself for a Tube. More people came than we thought would come so it stayed open. Now it's more trouble than it's worth. As soon as LC wires me some money, it's all his.

Yea, not too many of you understand the concept of irony. We left here and started the board while GFY was supporting content theft, so we stole their design in return, then Donny Long stole what we made and made his board. However, most of you are just too serious and hardcore to see the humor and irony in that.

Problem is that those of us who tried not to take it seriously and just go there to play were pretty much shut down, at least imho.

A certain number of people there insisted that it become the next serious business board and you and Mike sure seemed to buy into that.

What many people thought it was, was a new place to go and pick on people all over again. Drag the fight from one board (or all) onto new turf and continue it. Everyone already knows X has a beef with Y, so posting it all over again was not something welcome there. What's the point? You can have fun, but bringing families, wives, kids, criminal records and all that crap into it crosses the line. There is no fun in that, as it is malicious.

If you want to have fun, there is a such a thing called verbal jousting, and if you're witty enough, it is very entertaining and loads of fun. The problem is, most can't do that and have to result to low blows and dragging up issues they don't need to be talking about.

Everyone knows when they cross a line. If you got shut down, it's because you crossed it or were about to. If you were asked to play nice, as some of you were, I asked that respectfully because we didn't see a reason for some of the attacks that were about to take place. And Mike and I both appreciate and thank those who we did ask to play nice, and have.

Common sense would say, don't say something to someone you wouldn't say to their face. 99.999% of you would NEVER say .01% of the things you say online to someones face, regardless of how many of you say you would.

We didn't buy into anything. Post what you want (use common sense), just don't show up there to start fights with people, as some did. There is a fine line between acceptable behavior and non acceptable behavior. It is just a few words and how they are said that make the difference, or sometimes just a single posted image.

The board was a spoof, the posters will make it what they want it to be. If some pricks need to be weeded out or muzzled along the way, per the request of the members who do exercise common sense, then so be it.

The issue is, we don't run the board for money. We don't want to. We don't charge people for ads. It's just a place for people to get together and talk. So when I have to spend most of my day babysitting grown men, on a project that doesn't make a penny for me, then it's sometimes just faster to muzzle the offender for a while.

DWB, all that is well and good. It is in the paragraph that I quoted above where you lose reality.

The incident that I bitched about and has arisen again was exactly opposite. A well known industry veteran came on to the board and was playing. He had not attacked anyone, he was joking and having a food time.

One of the biggest loons in the industry came in and made a direct, unprovoked attack and he got smacked down. Then he went running to you and Mike to bitch and the one who smacked him down got banned.

There was no common sense in that and the person who made the attack is still on your board making threats and attacking people on a daily basis.

The only person on that board that I had a problem with prior to was Stinky. At your request I left him alone.

I never had any issue with Alien until he came in attacking a friend for no fucking reason and you chose to ban the person being attacked rather than the attacker.

As I said, there was no common sense in that at all.
