Something affiliate programs should do..

Is have a universal output type of source code or RSS feed that is shared amongst ALL programs... So that once we get a sign up from ANY of the affiliates , we'll know instantly..

Instead of having to login to like 10 different affiliate programs...I'm sure most are like me and don't put all their eggs in one basket. Some AFF programs have the instant notification feature...some dont...some have it set-up in a strange way.. Why not just have a universal feature to help us Webmaster be a little more organized ?

I'm sure some here are loaded...and get signups left & right and probably wouldn't care about such an option. But it would be a nice addition for us folks a bit lower on the totem poll.

easier to just use a tool like statsremote :2 cents:

DBS.US 03-07-2010 07:30 PM

Just make more sales, then you will not have to worry about logging in to see how much money you made so you know what you going to have for dinner.:winkwink:

Even a regular RSS feed for stats would be nice. Not many programs have a RSS feed for stats.

niftystats is free

BFT3K 03-08-2010 07:27 AM

I promote some CCBill programs, and I don't know why I need to get a new and unique affiliate ID for every single program that I join.

You should fill out one CCBill affiliate form, one time, and get one ID that you can use forever.

This way you can QUICKLY AND EASILY join as many programs as you like, and use your ONE affiliate code for all.

Multiple IDs is annoying, unnecessary, and sometimes don't even show up in my account!

hmmm.. now i'm confused.

Which one is better ? And why is Stats Remote sooo expensive...while nifty is free ? There has to be some major differences here. The premium benefits of NiftyStats are features I wouldn't use anyway... but still I don't understand how they can make the majority of their program free...while Stats Remote is still soo expensive.

NiftyStats free version is sponsored via advertisments. There are small banners in the program and there used to be a popup when you opened it up, don't know if it's stilstill the case though. But basically, it's paid for via advertising and it will surely do the trick for you.

hmmm interesting.. Are the Ads really annoying in the free version ? Its a big difference between that & paying a $160 a year for the service.

Back when I used it I didn't find the ads intrusive. There were like two banners on top and that was it. Besides, it's not like you use the program for a long time, you fire it up, let it download stats from all programs and then you check your daily stats and maybe the monthly total. Then you're done and can close the program. It's really a five minute thing. And hey, since it's free, stop asking questions, download it and see for yourself, that's probably the best advice you can get.

Their crew posts here too, they have nicknames like "NiftystatsNAME" or something similar. Best of luck to you.

bump for more ideas :)

Should be able to use Excel or other spreadsheet to gather information (ie: stats) from remote locations. I dont recall the exact details, but if you have a modern spreadsheet program, it could be worth looking into. Especially if what you do is spreadsheet some data anyway.

john1975 03-08-2010 03:21 PM

I cant believe even the smallest of affiliate programs are included...but big ones like BurstMedia aren't included in either.

A protected RSS output feed would rock.
