Adobe Acrobat Reader or whatever the fuck it's called..
What a monster pile of shit this thing is. I have officially uninstalled this fucking thing, I don't even know how it was installed in the first place.
I keep my computer very clean (no unused programs or anything cluttering up space), not even a virus or spyware scanner or any of those annoyances. I have absolutely no trouble doing this unless I let some idiot use my computer (which I don't). However I just clicked a PDF file in Google (accidentally) and it started opening this epidemic of a fucking program. I hit ctrl+alt+del to quickly kill the thing because if you are the type to go without scanners then you know this Adobe program opening could easily be bad fucking news, but before I can kill it it opens this fake "Windows Anti-Virus" window which is clearly installing god knows what kind of trojans and shit. Going to stick with Google's HTML option for PDF files, if that isn't an option then FUCK a PDF file and any asshole person/company/government using them. I'm not going to install some special application just to read these stone age looking fucktarded documents. I goto uninstall it and it's 40-FUCKING-MEGABYTES! For comparison, Windows Media Player is only 9MB and it does about 10,000x more things. I would tell you how I really feel but I don't know how to express it in a written language. Good luck with figuring out that thing.

I had that fake virus scan thing recently - and about 3 different antivirus programs didn't pick it up. I found something called stopzilla which got rid of it. It has a free trial so you might want to try that out.

use foxit?

Acrobat is really bloated software. I made the mistake of installing the suite to edit/create PDFs and it was a nightmare. I had to delete it.
As far as PDFs opening, I know IE had a probably with opening them automatically and that could infect your computer pretty easily. :2 cents: |
foxit old version is good , but new versions install adware. when installing new version select custom and un tick the option that installs toolbar shit

I had that fake anti-virus thing too and had traced it back to a PDF. AVG antivirus which had been updated mere hours earlier didnt detect it. I had a heck of a time manually removing that fucker. I also replaced AVG on that machine with Avast to see if it has better luck next time.

I use FoxitReader (download from http://www.filehorse.com/download-foxit/)
- it's only about 5mb - it's free - it's far more secure than adobe |
