How does google index .mobi domains?

How does google index .mobi domains when people are searching on their cell phones?

Someone searches Starwars from a desktop and starwars.com comes up.

If someone searches Starwars from their mobile device, will google ever reward the .mobi knowing that the site is made for the mobile platform?

Or will google realize that the owners of starwars.com created a mobile detection and re-directed all mobile traffic to mobile.starwars.com?

Google see it as xhtml or chtml, In most cases it will see the xhtml-mp site before the main xhtml site. If you don't have a site map I suggest you get one.

I got a super mobi domain. 4 letters and targeted (micro niche) it's a blog, it makes sales but i ain't getting top SE position go figure. Hand written blog, so i guess they don't like them.
