it seems the publicity from the law increases the number of people who are educated about all the ways to get stuff for free.

of course the "piracy" includes things like using p2p as a super vcr so i am sure it also a lot of people who upset with the ubsurd arguement that if you use a crappy pvr to timeshift a show that legal but when you do the exact same thing using the swarm it some how illegal.

Sure, those laws are definitely silly.... I don't see the problem here....

It's not like piracy has hurt our industry or anything.

these types of laws are exactly what the RIAA/MPAA asked for in past, the problem is that they are getting them now, which means the revenue stream that is possible is going to be killed before it is formed.
