NAIROBI, Kenya ? ICANN this week plans to look into the feasibility of ICM Registry's proposal to sell .XXX domain names and may just decide to vote on a contract with the registrar.

Any news coming from Africa is bad news.

I'm not for XXX but I know most everyone will run and buy them the day you can and be all over it. For that, this industry deserves whatever it gets.

Oh, almost forgot... can't someone put a bullet in Lawley's head? I'll chip in on it.

If you guys all rush out and register domains in .xxx, you will make that asshole rich overnight. Boycott it - don't register a single domain.

Certain key domains have been set aside by the backers of this project (who I guess will simply sell them for a huge profit)...and for anyone that doesnt know this whole .XXX fiasco was financed by some very big names in this biz...:(

Boycotting is great when no one buys the domains, but if you leave your domains too long. The bigger companies shall purchase them anyway. This then only leaves one option, buy yours for more with others making more money. :2 cents:

Um wouldn't the extension xxx be a label onto itself? If this gets though, mark my words that laws will come requiring anything "adult" to be on it. then that extension will be blocked or provided at a convenient extra charge to "consenting adults"

the xxx extension will be the death throw to the industry.
