HELP!!**** ICQ Password saved in start up but I cant recall what it is?***
 

So I logged off Icq 6 and I have it set up to load and log in upon start up. Well I had some connection issues and had to manually type in my password today.After many attempts ... Well it was 2 years and it doesn't seem to be working. Right now I'm safe cause it still loads on start up but Im worried.

My question is how can I recover my password when my email i assigned to it I no longer have access too. I do know how many characters it is cause the numbers of X's in the password field.

Since its loads on start up where is that info?

I would love your ideas, tips or tricks.

A lot of programs there that will decipher it, if you run across one for a Mac let me know I have been trying to get my old ICQ number back for months, but I am in the same situation, can't remember the password and don't have access to that email address..

My tech had to recover mine a while back. I can't remember what he did....I will hit him up to see what he did.

Once you get it, it might be smart to put all your passwords on a thumb drive, that is what I did ;)

Program works with some programs but not ICQ for me...

hmm you should be able to just change the password?
you control the email you used to sign up for it?

Yes but if you have a decent anti virus program installed, it will find and delete it. If you like the program, save it to a thumb drive and remember to turn your anti virus off before running it.
