Yes, iBill.com IS for sale...the post iBill.net doesn't want you to see :)

I had originally posted in the first thread that brought this to light, but it was a dead thread and I felt this deserved a new post.

I've been in touch with Michael who owns iBill.com. He's a domain professional like myself (albeit considerably more prominent) and we've spoken with each in the past...I think I may have even bought a name or two from him before. Good guy, which is why I'm going to try and help him get this sold, and sold to someone other than iBill.net. TBH he doesn't care about who he sells it to, but I know most of you would not like to see iBill completely "back", which they would be with that domain.

Anyways, the domain iBill IS in fact for sale. iBill.net wants it, I can guarantee you that. So the last thing THEY would want is for someone else to get it, and on that basis I think this purchase could be a smart move for one of the more established processors out there for a number of reasons.

1. iBill.com has 3xx,xxx Alexa. That's all traffic looking for a processor. How much is your own traffic worth to you? Don't buy it and BRAND yourself iBill obviously because that's fucking retarded (*coughNEWIBILLcough*), but imagine the value of getting that traffic for yourself. It has that Alexa still with no iBill operating from it since mid-late 2007, so it appears to be pretty solid traffic from type-in and solid links. I'll be getting traffic figures from Michael soon on what it's actually doing and will update this thread.

2. You can actually enlighten people about the sheisty shit that iBill pulled in the process of selling them on your service. A lot of internet marketers recently have started outing scam "info products" online (the kinds that tubes have sometimes promoted) as means of garnering trust - the same can be done here.

3. It keeps the domain out of the hands of new iBill who honestly seem to many of us like the same pieces of shit that stole everyone's money before. Given that, it could be a nice press move for a processor dedicated to being honest and loyal to their customers, because I can tell you right now that there's no chance new iBill ISN'T trying to get this domain. You can snatch it from their claws for the good of the industry and get nice publicity from having done so.

As I said, it is 6-figures, but seriously, if anyone wants it considering the above, let me know and I'll get you in touch with Michael.

Normally I would support any domain sale in a positive way , but I think you could be correct in this case.

Purchasing the domain iBill then pointing it a billing company (especially adult) would leave reasonable legal grounds ( in my view) for iBill.net to pursue a claim that the company using it was trying to pass off as or aquire trade/customers meant for them.

On a seperate note im not sure if any billing company would wish to get even close ..PR...Domain or linking to a domain/billing brand that went down as a huge disaster.

(These are just my personal opinions) good luck with a sale.

Its been for sale for months, if "the New iballs" wanted it or could even afford it they would have it by now. Its safe where it is :thumbsup

That is what I am thinking and also goes to show the new company doesn't have a pot to piss in even if they do have a window to throw it out of...
