Very interesting article. Really kinda fucked up that people have to either lie about who they are to get legally married or go through sexual re-assignment.

Although I support gay marriage... this article is just another in a stack from here to Mars that basically uses falsehood to make a point when it's not necessary. This is the basis of what is wrong with opinion journalism these days... the right and left use the same tactic and it ends up with the point being completely lost in the glaring brightness of it's falsehood. Just like your thread title. Why do people have to invent new jazzy ways to frame a conversation... why not just have the conversation?

If one gets a sex change it's not really "Gay" anymore is it?
