How much is this Domain Worth???

SexTV.com
Just the domain, not the site.

Fiddy Cent

Varius 03-16-2010 02:45 PM

$30,000.00 - but, as always, that type of domain could easily pull in more with a highly interested buyer who has plans for the name.

I have TitsTV (.com) but not BigTitsTV (.com) someone else has that .. damn !:1orglaugh

Bossman 03-16-2010 03:26 PM

$97,500 :winkwink:

But yes, domains are worth what the buyer can do with them. Someone who can only monetize the current typin traffic will be able to pay much less, then someone who can monetize its other traits (SE keyword traffic, marketing brandability, viral/media opportunities, industry recognizability etc.).

If you can afford $97,500 for a domain name, I'd rather register [keyword]sextv.com for $8 and spend the other $97,492 on marketing efforts. :2 cents:

When you buy a top domain, then its probably because you want to make a top site in its category.

And no matter if its news, sports, movies, adult etc., then people/surfers only remember a handful of sites. Becoming one of these "top" sites takes resources, where efficiency of each resource pays off. You choose a top domain because its helps you becoming more efficient in the other areas where you are also spending money (SEO, branding, viral/media, industry etc.).

Of course you should never use all of your money on only the domain - just like you should not use all your money on only one thing (traffic, content, software, servers, mangement etc.). Its the sum of things which makes a good site :2 cents:

TeenCat 03-16-2010 05:21 PM

yes it sounds nice. but every day it costs less. it will be not about sex or tv :) hc and paper journal is on the way

FreeHugeMovies 03-16-2010 05:22 PM

Nice domain

PornMD 03-16-2010 05:32 PM

These days I'd probably say $25k-$35k more than likely. Higher sale could be possible but not that many good-sized adult sales have been happening in the past several months except extremely good generic domains. SexTV is more on the brandable side - which FWIW is a good thing if you're holding out for higher since a motivated buyer could pay a lot more than that given range looking to build out a solid brand.

Good luck!
