Tipping for curbside pick up orders?
I always tipped 15% for curbside pick up orders. My wife saw the receipt and went ape shit. She said that there's no reason to tip someone the same as you would an actual server if we were dining in. She said the most to give would be maybe 10% since all they do is box up our food and walk it out to our car.
How much do you tip for curbside pickup? We love Outback and do curbside with them at least twice a week. Am I tipping too much? |
I do the same thing and my girl flips out as well. :1orglaugh

Solution: get your wife a job doing curbside pick up orders at Outback.
Perspective has a way of making things look different. Tip what you want. A tip is a tip. It's not a percentage. It's not any amount. |

Haven't had the discussion since. :winkwink: |
Yes, I used to be a server, it is not too much. Sometimes, that will be your section and you still have to rely on goodhearted responsible people like yourself to make what you need to make for the night. :2 cents:

If they are prompt and bring it to the car I tip well, but 9 times out of 10 they don't notice I'm waiting I wind up just going inside. If the food's not ready when I go in I usually tip the person $5, cause that's beyond their control. If the food is waiting, as long as the person is prompt and friendly I still tip, usually around $2 or $3. The only time I don't tip anything is if I'm standing there watching my food get cold. I can't stand that shit.

i usually tip pretty good but i never really tipped them much..just figured they were running it out to the car.
I think i would tip like $5 bucks on a $40 or $50 dollar order where i normally would tip $15-$18 bucks if i were to be waited on in the restaurant. |
i NEVER tip with to-go.

I tipped the DirecTV guy just for checking my satelite dish for 3 minutes. I tip everyone.... I don't want to feel like a cheap ass.
