Wildcard Hostgator!
 

Guys am having this problem installing WP MU!
Its on Hostgator, and i cant enable subdomain install option, cause am getting this
Wildcard is not enable thing.

Anyone done this shit with WordPress Mu.

Have you tried contacting their support to help you out with this? I would think they would be able to help you out with this.

I suggest you move this minute. Seriously. Every encounter I have had with them has just been a disaster and caused way more stress and aggravation than it's worth. Plus, I doubt they will be happy about you running WPMU on one of their accounts. Unless you have a dedicated or upgraded account of some sort?

Yes contact them and enable "dns wildcards". but yeah - why host with them anyway?

This should work on any cpanel hosting.

Go into cpanel and add the following subdomain.

*

yes that is an asterisk. That will give you wild card dns.

Yep, try what Danielle suggested. That usually works for all Cpanel's hosts.
