Tobacco company Philip Morris scores a hit with marijuana domains.

Altria, the parent company of Philip Morris,whos brands include Marlboro had filed a complaint to get the domain names AltriaCannabis.com and AltriaMarijuana.com. The company won the case at World Intellectual Property Forum against Daniel Cheng of Washington, D.C., and the domain names should be transferred to Altria?s possession shortly.

The question is: what will Altria do with these domain names now that it owns them !! :1orglaugh ... A pack of Marlboro highs please ! :thumbsup

the link in your post for cannabis broker/seeds...is selling them legal in the UK ? the reason l ask is that if l remember correct the USA are trying to extradite a canadian guy to stand trial there for selling seeds across the border ......just wondered if some countries allowed it.

Yes, a legal battle is always much cheaper than just buying the domain off the guy.

I think they've got too much money and they don't know what to do with it... so they make battles over low value domains.

Pharmaceutical companies have tried every kind of pain reliever imaginable, mostly based on morphine etc. Nothing beats marijuana for nausea, glaucoma, a whole host of things. So pharmaceutical companies in England are developing an entire line of 'cabinoids' - basically manufactured marijuana. They don't want YOU to GROW IT - they want you to BUY IT, from THEM. This shit is coming to the US within five years, watch.

So maybe Marlboro is using pharmaceutical-grade weed, or have struck a deal already with Pfizer or some such...the pipe is being laid....heh heh.
