Thanks a bunch

the guy is the same guy that coded the raptor script a lot of non nude sites used, he abodoned that project as well, with a lot of pissed off webmasters, it looks like its the same second time around.

stick with a product with proven track record and support.

you will save yourself headaches now if you switch to a different system.

JamesK 03-25-2010 10:15 AM

Life can be a bitch sometimes. Hope he does the right thing and sort everything out.

bloggerz 03-25-2010 11:16 AM

yea seemed like a good script, thank god i didnt pick it up....

shmangee 03-27-2010 07:55 AM

raptor

yeah, he collected support money for raptor and took off, everyone has 10 copies they cant do shit with

he will be asking for support cash for his new script too, then he will be gone

JamesK 06-03-2010 06:06 AM

I guess I can safely say LiquidMedia is history now.

The script wasn't bad, but with no updates it's useless. What a fucking shame.

fris 06-03-2010 07:47 AM

hes still on irc from time to time in #jquery, but he never replies to msgs, go figure

TheDA 06-03-2010 09:03 AM

Best thing about this guy is, he didn't even need to change his name to pull this off again.

Ace_luffy 06-03-2010 09:13 AM

Eric is active in the LM support forum so lets hope he is in the process of cranking out an update.

Though I had no idea of the previous track record or anything else, I want to apologize to everyone involved. I know I spoke to many of you on ICQ and such. I was just as excited about LM as everyone else was and really thought it was going to be something big. Shit happens and unfortunately my name got dragged through the dirt due to me not doing my homework.

I still have sites running LM so the latest version still seems to work fine, though I know we would all love to see updates or have the ability to mod our sites.

In the end I never made a single dollar for my involvement in the venture and I invested a lot of my time and money. So to those that feel cheated, I was just as cheated in the ordeal, if not more. Wish I could have done more to make things right for everyone but with me not having any coding knowledge or access to the source code, there was not much I could do.

i still got worthless copies of raptor.. and paid for his support for it, never got a refund when he disappeared the first time, 2nd time around i knew better and stayed clear of liquid media.

do site's with liquid media even make alot of sales?

Do you happen to know what happens if Eric's site goes down, do all LM scripts stop working? I think it used to be set-up like this at the early version stages but don't know if he changed it.

As far as I know his site going down would have no effect on other sites running LM. He had the domain for each license somehow hard coded into the script, so it only checks the domain to verify license rather than pinging his server. I have a lot of time invested into my own LM sites as well and I remember touching on this subject with him. I am not 100% on this but I would say 90%.

On a side note the Raptor site is still online (not familiar with Raptor so don't know the time frame of that mess) so imo that is a pretty good indication that fluid14.com will remain online for years to come.

trevesty 06-03-2010 03:22 PM

He replied to my sales inquiry about 15 days after I sent it... he didn't make a conversion. :2 cents:
