Took the New Aston Martin 'Rapide' for a test drive.......
 

Check out the pics, all hand made, hand painted , polished etc. Runs about 215K cdn.

Very comfortable ride, being 6.1 the back seat is a bit cramped, but its a recliner. B&O sound system / heavenly ;)

The only thing I found annoying is when you drive it in regular mode/vs sport, there is an annoying lag in the tranny, which would drive me nuts, I would have to drive it in sport mode all the time ;)

Over all like to look of the car, its long and sleek, love to have it on the highway and let it fly:thumbsup

Aston Martin's are beautiful. If I was stinking rich (and not living in a country full of snow & ice for 6 months) I'd get me one.
I'd get a 2 door one though, probably DB9 vantage.

It takes an incredible amount of pretension to own anything named a "Rapide". But I guess if you can afford it, you wouldn't care what its called - no matter how many people point and giggle.

DBS, Vantage, Carbon Black - great names. Rapide? Sounds like a Sacha Baron Cohen joke.

I don't really get your point. What's so wrong with "Rapide"?

FYI the name comes from the Lagonda Rapide of the 60's and earlier, Aston Martin having been bought by David Brown of David Brown Tractors who also owned Lagonda and gave his initials to the DB series of cars, and Lagonda came under Aston Martin control later on.

The outside is WOW, but the inside color and design is really fugly, not worth $200K+

i agree. Sports cars with 4 doors just dont look right! the dbs looks perfect.... this 4 door model design looks forced, it looks exactly like what they tried to do and that is fit 4 doors in a design which is not made for 4 doors....
