As for Palin I find it amazing that people even consider her as the next President.

I cannot believe that people don't see her for what she is - a money-grubing attention whore who has figured out the way to get very rich. As long as she gives speeches, "writes" books and drops hints about her plans to run for pres, she can continue raking in the big bucks. Like Newt Gingrich, she is at least smart enough to realize that as long as you may run but don't actually run, people think you are important and want to hear what you have to say. Remember what happened to Fred Thompson as soon as he stopped being a potential candidate and became an actual candidate - it all turned to shit. Same for Guliani.

Only John McCain has decided to toss away his career based on her. She repeated a speech several times this weekend to cheering crowds. Who when interviewed often were anti-McCain, but pro-Palin.

2000 was McCains year, and Bush/Rove rolled over him and made minced meat out of him and he's never recovered.

She was the Republican vice presidential candidate. She continues to show her face on Fox news, she gives tea party speeches. How do you figure she does not have any support?

She is not a tea party darling either. She maybe the fake tea party darling (the one the media talks about) but the real tea partiers dislike her.

She was still their candidate, which meant they thought she was fit to be PRESIDENT. That does say a lot.

I found it amazing that she passed the laugh test enough to be allowed on tv, much less into a presidential campaign. Now it seems the party is waggling her around as a distraction while they're busy working on something else. What they're working on I don't know.... but it probably resembles Mount Doom. :)
