What is the best new film you have seen
 

in about the last two months? It feels like everything good has dried up in the cinemas. Are there any gems that have come out recently that might be worth hunting down?

"the hurt locker" , it s not actually new , it was for me.

"the men who stare at goats" paranormal acticities in us army - comedy

none of them are brand new , but I have discoverd them new for myself last week .

"A serious man" (recently screened on my country).

Yeah, they were all last year. I am sure I saw Moon nearly a full year ago.

I've just watched surrogates and beyond a reasonable doubt. They were both good aswell :thumbup

Few of them have made it here. Can't think of anything I've seen in the last year that knocked my socks off.

Probably the only new film i have seen is 'The Bounty Hunter', but that wasn't even good to be honest so i can't help ya...

I liked this one. No a movie to remember but good enough for a weekend.

Pirate Radio was good. Great music in it.

I just saw Hot Tub Time Machine the other night and it was funny as hell

I saw the preview and apart from the kid playing Cusack looking just like he did at that age, I wasn't sure what to make of it.

'Shutter Island' was the last I saw and I liked it.

I can tell you that Book of Eli sucks ass, was a long time ago I've seen such a bad movie (and I see about 2 a week at the theatre).

Dead Snow. Nazi zombies and snowmobiles. Doesn't get any better really.

Shutter Island definitely worth seeing.
Rec 2 (spanish version) fucking great, excellent sequel.
The Box with Cameron Diaz- i believe its a remake of an outer limits episode from years ago and its by the director of donnie darko. weird film, almost hallucinogenic in its quality, not great but worth renting.
That Dead Snow film looks good, gotta see if i can find it.
Also a kind of new Canadian horror film called Pontypool which really sounds cool.

I just caught it last night on satellite. I hadn't heard of it till then.

alright! new one from the Tokyo Gore Police crew, gotta see it.

I really liked She's Out Of My League...much better than the previews would indicate...it has that Judd Apatow feel to it, so if you like that, you'll like the movie, if you don't, then probably not as much.

Last film I saw was Green Zone with Matt Damon.
The story could be more deeper, but over all a good movie.

Synecdoche, New York - It's actually 2008, but i just saw it recently and became obsessed and downloaded screenplay to read and etc. Charlie Kaufman (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH and ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF SPOTLESS MIND) wrote AND directed this one.

It's more than a few years old, but I recently watched The Fountain (for the second time) and it's a really good movie. By the same director who made Requiem for a Dream and Pi.

I also recently watched a Canadian movie that I thought was excellent called Real Time.

None of these are new at all, but really good nonetheless.

I haven't seen a good film since Saving Private Ryan.

Really haven't seen any good ones lately. Last one was "Brothers". It was pretty good.

I was pleasantly surprised by Guy Ritchie's SHERLOCK HOLMES. Great production quality. Robert Downey fit the role extremely well--opium smoking Sherlock Holmes :)

I liked The Crazies as well...I wasn't too fond of the original, so the remake didn't bother and I actually found it better than the original...of course with Timothy Olyphant, anything can be risen above average...

universal soldier: regeneration. A true mans action movie. Featuring the return of Van Damme and Dolph Lungren. The greatest faceoff of all time, ebert gives it 10 stars out of 5 and three thumbs up. Siskel returned from beyond the grave to give it 5 very zombielike stars out of 5.
