The one with an entire car battery under the phone? Those would be worth something for sure.

alias 03-29-2010 11:39 AM

The NES box set had to have been worth something, but ebay sucks anyway.

I'd used to drive my parents mad, asking for coins and change, so I could go to the arcade and play this game on the big machines with my friends when I was a young :)
So I feel you here...:thumbsup

WebairGerard 03-29-2010 12:08 PM

That's how the first pics came to the internet.
Using Netscape to surf and Frontpage, notepad or Hotdog to make pages :pimp

Had those too. They came with an amplifier in the trunk of your car so you had more reach (in some areas...).

Buying a new PC would often lead to buying a new scanner under Win98. SCSI drivers sucked those days. USB is a real blessing today.

Brick size?
That would kill a deer for sure, just by throwing the "brick-phone" at it :1orglaugh

Photography changed a lot too. I recall my dad being in the basement with chemical stuff in a dark room with a small red light, doing his photo hobby thing. Cursing the shit out of me if I accidently opened the door to see what he was up too...lol
He probably made dirty private pics and did not want to bring it to the store to have the films developped :1orglaugh

It was really cool back then for sure :upsidedow

Did you have the big "rocket launcher" on the NES too? That was awesome also.

Tom_PM 03-29-2010 01:11 PM

Those were noisy but fun. Took forever to get a jpg on your netscape, yet worth all efforts!

GrouchyAdmin 03-29-2010 01:38 PM

Why did you throw out the 6L? Those never die. I sold mine to a friend 5 years ago when I got a 6P. Both of us are still using them.

The paper got stuck all the time or it took several pieces of paper at the same time as I recall. The big 4 series however I still use on some PC's at the accounting dept. They seem to be indestructable.

My mom thrown away my ZX-Spectrum :(
