Finally Starting My Own Membership Site :)
 

First of all I would like to thank all of GFY members for basically holding my hand from my other threads. Instead of trolling noobs like other forum you guys actually help and keep quality control to the max :). Which keeps everyone here for good!

Well anyways let's get to the point. I have been procrastinating to the max on making my own membership site. I have been thinking about it for a while but after my server was wiped out I was going to give up.

I bought a good domain in February that's very catchy and describes the website pretty well. It's going to be free until I learn all this merchant billing stuff. I want to create a info website that does reviews I guess about other sites but the customer has to make a username, password, and double opt-in with email to see the content in members area.

Do you guys use something like ConstantContact, Aweber, or iContact for newsletter or is it inhouse programs? I want it so that it's very easy for me to manage and very easy for customer to opt-out if he needs to.

Also where is the best place for stock adult photos for landers that won't get me sued if I use them. I'm a college student and I'll be fucked for the smallest lawsuit just for 2 pictures I used :P.

Im also trying to figure out the best way/program to send out newsletters to a database thats now about 60k big. Still not sure how and what.

I read that but it doesn't show any of the Technical side of mailing and what program to use. :)

I used for a long time a combination of this two software bundles to manage email lists from 5k-50k. Further I would recommend not to use a Webdatabase or equal solution.

What works pretty fine was Easy Email Verifier and Easy List Manager.

For sending mails to different groups of users with automated opt-in/out verification, TIME SHEDULED SENDING, blacklist and reports go for Atomic Mail Sender (AMS). It's a perfect choice and the mail adresses can be easily imported from any file or database.

I'm on Mac :'(. Isn't that a Windows program I see the screenshots

Oky, that's perhaps a little bit difficult. These programms are for Windows only.
Wouldn't say there a good tools for Mac out there beside Max Bulk Mailer, which are doing this job really fine.
