Has this ever happened to you?
 

So I wanted to look up someone I worked with for a few years back in the 90s and see what he was up to but couldn't find any info. anywhere. Knowing that he was into pretty hardcore drugs back then I was hoping he would have gotten it together over the years.

So I did a google search on his name and typed in "obituary" with it on a whim, and yup, sure enough... he passed away 2 months ago at the age of 42. Whether he was still into drugs or not, I would have to believe the abuse he put himself thru in his 20s had to be a factor.

Yes, but it was on Facebook--when I found his page--a lot of my former classmates had very recent condolences messages on his wall.

I actually asked someone recently who's in the know and everyone from my graduating class is still alive and kicking. 438 kids graduated that year.

No it hasn't, but whenever I think about people I haven't seen in a very long I sometimes find myself wondering if they're still alive. It's strange, because it has nothing to do with them living dangerously or not. I guess a part of me says "If you haven't seen them for this long, maybe they're dead"...
