Anyone here got a solar powered fountain in their pond?
If so what one do you have? and is it any good/reliable?
I'm tempted to get one, but as with most things solar right now i'm skeptical it won't work very well or be any good. So I'm open to suggestions :) I don't really want to run a proper electrical fountain because the pond is about 100 feet from the house and it will just be a pain in the ass. |
Solar powered. This is interesting. So, when it is a bright day, the energy gathers from the energy of the sun. Can this energy be stored for a long time?
Or, the fountain will only work on a bright sunny day? |
This article says that solar energy can be stored:

yes I watch it from my marble gazebo while rubbing the belly of my solid gold Buddha for good luck
Ok just kidding, no, but I would if I had a pond spaz |
Fatfoo, yeah the one's I have seen only work during the day which sucks. But I could store it with battery's or what not.
probably not worth the hassle doing it that way. Might have to be an electric one for me I think which will be fun :( |
