Is it moral?
is moral move to tell google if you notice that someone is using clear spam techniques and maintaining on first google page for months?
Depends on.... for example it could be a competition that did this spamming to make his site banned by search engines... that happens.
not sure if "moral" is the right word to use, if you feel you are in a "war" with the other site and the battle is for the top position in the serps, some would say "all is fair game", would you say that the technique they are using is "moral"?
if their site is crap and you legitimately have more to offer... then yeah!
morals are extremely subjective
If I am getting beaten by someone who is cheating the system then yes, I report them. I can't stand people who think the rules apply to everyone but themselves.
It's an ethical thing in my opinion. If someone is blatantly cheating, whether it affects your business or not, you should report them.
I think it would be moral to report spam. Sure, why not.
If you got enough evidence to prove it, I don't see why it would not be moral. |
It's just envy in my humble opinion, no morals or ethics whatsoever...
