wow - Mayor of Munchkin Land died today
 

that's amazing - i had no idea anybody from the Wizard of Oz would still be alive let along one of the munchkins. I always thought dwarves and midgets had shorter lifespans - this guy was 94 when he died today.

He was the coroner, not the mayor. My mother knew him. I last saw him about 2 years ago. :( He was married to a munchkin wife and she died in a car crash several years ago. Very nice guy - always charged for an autograph, lol!

he will be missed :(

Damn. I was going to drink some special tea and go visit him today.

94... Lived longer than most.

He was also one of the very few of the 124 munchkins to have a speaking part.

Wizard of Oz was the film that showed me the magic of cinema. A true classic even if a bit cliche now.

Damn... 94 years. I can't imagine how it feels to live that long. Imagine all the history, the changes...
