We need to eliminate freedom of the press
...So we can get Sarah Palin & Lindsay Lohan out of the news. My god. :2 cents:
|
Even china newspapers write about them :D
|
Eliminating freedom of the press would lead to eliminating freedom of speech which would lead to you having to ONLY READ ABOUT THOSE people through fake entertainment firms that were government front companies to distract you from anything going on. It also wouldn't hold to well for the porn industry.
|
Lindsay lohan will probably od like jackson in a few years
|
Obama wants to eliminate the freedom of the press too!
|
Sarah Palin cannot help but get press coverage, it is insane. I have taken to muting MSNBC whenever she is 'doncha knowin' and winkin' and being all down homey... make me vom a little in my mouth nowadays just hearing her speak
still, freedom of the press should be maintained and integrity of the press should make a comeback. spaz |
It's just mind boggling how the media commits huge resources to some of the most unworthy people in the world. Now a person only gets press if their screws come loose or they die.

A good laugh...& why journalists should go to jail when they take her seriously.

you know loathe is probably too weak a word to use for my feelings towards Palin but I have to say she is a sound bite generator and she is becoming quite skilled at the 'cute attack'. My stomach rolls whenever i see her grinning maw but I have to respect the way she is able to manipulate the press to her own advantage.........The 'press' should wake up and see it for what it is but she draws eyeballs, that draws advertising dollars and that means it is our 'news'
I agree with you 100% freedom of the press is fucked up now but I would like to see freedom of the press from advertising dollars and the desperate need for ratings. spaz |

Funny thing is the more the left bitch about her, the more popular she becomes with the right, so by all means, I'm going to just sit back and watch you guys make her the next president, it's very entertaining

It's just like dems not paying attention to the Tea Party, well they are becoming a force, their numbers are getting bigger and big enough to make or break a few political careers, good bye Bart Stupak! |

If the tea party goes back to ron paul beliefs that would be great...
By the way he lost by one vote today in the Straw Poll to Romney. Not bad considering romney paid people to be there and to vote for him haha. |

Obama is finding that out first hand. He made a lot of promises and is now finding out that making good on them is not so easy. If somehow Paul made it to the white house he would have to deal with the house and senate and they really wouldn't be willing to play along. But back to why he doesn't want to be president. It is simple. Money. Paul doesn't want to take any big corporate money and he doesn't want to finance his campaign the way the crooked politicians do. That is noble, but not realistic. If you want to run for president and be able to compete you need 600 million or more (estimates say that Obama will have 1 billion dollars for his campaign in 2012). The only way to do that is let the machine work for you and he is unwilling to do so. If he really wanted to be president he could just let the machine work for him and get the money, get elected then simply not give in to the powers that be that helped finance him when they come calling. He could even use that as a campaign slogan for his re-election and let everyone know how he turned special interests away. I think the guy has some great ideas, but I think he is far more interested in selling books than he is actually being president. It isn't a coincidence that each of the last three presidential elections that he has run in he has also released a book that same year. |
