Can he overtake woods for the world number 1 spot this year?

I'm not sure, but I sure hope he does! if Woods takes more time off and Phil starts winning some more tournements I reckon it could be the time for him to take the top spot :)

Excellent game of golf this weekend though! some of them shots Phil pulled off were classic!

He sure looked good this weekend. I think it could be hard for him to stay focused for the whole year, seems like he has a lot of personal stuff going on...

Yeah that might be the only thing that will stop him :(

It was nice to see Amy go out and watch him yesterday though. I'm not sure if she is over the breast cancer or how his mum is doing. But he seemed very focused.

If he can win the Masters with all that going on it might even help him battle more than ever. He seemed more determined than ever because he wanted to win for his family.

It could be a very interesting year!

I love Phil always have, but no, Tiger will be back, look how good he did in the Masters but it was still bad for him.

I think Phil is great! he's quite a funny dude aswell. And I'm hoping your wrong about that lol I don't want Tiger to make a comeback :1orglaugh

I'd rather see Phil at number 1. Even if it's only for a couple weeks. Just to break the streak and give someone else the reigns for a while.

This Phil Mickelson sure plays golf well.

He played well all week, and has had a rough time of late family wise. Tiger's family problems however are totally different and are self inflicted.

This could just be Phil's year though !! :thumbsup
