11 year old girl missing in Florida swamp FOUND!
 

Just a few miles from my house in an area I frequently ride my bike and walk my dog an 11 year old girl went missing last friday afternoon. Nadia Bloom had parked her bike, took off her helmet and just started walking into the swamp.

She is mildly autistic and it was speculated that because she had been reading a book about a young girl that goes on adventures in her backyard and decided to go on her own adventure.

After five days in the alligator infested swamp she was found alive in remarkable good shape with nothing more serious than bug bites. At this moment she is still being carried out of the swamp.

What is really going to be interesting is she had just received a new camera and had the ability to take pictures and video which she took with her. If she had the presence to document her own " adventure " with such a happy ending it has best seller written all over it :thumbsup

YAY! Have a friend in Florida who told me about this earlier, it's all over the news down there. So many times you hear the worst so thank God she was found. Poor baby, hope she's gonna be okay - four DAYS stuck in a swamp!! Wowza. Just imagine the mosquito bites....shudder.

What is with all this "autism" nowadays? When I was growing up, it was called "kid needs a good belt whippin", not they have a "disease". Seriously, these days any behavior problem and the kid is diagnosed autistic. I think 90% of it is hooey and the other 10% is people trying to get money out of the government for their "autistic" kid.
