Launching IM popins via javascript?

Is there any way to launch a js file to load an IM popin? Basically I am looking for a way to mass admin IM popins across my network of 800+ sites without doing it the manual way. I know fris was working on a Wordpress plugin that would accomplish this. Most of my network runs on WP so if anyone has a solution I would happily pay for the info. I have played with OpenX a bit also if it is possible to setup an ad zone for IM ads that would work as well.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup

We have a program that could work for you. If you want to contact me via email we can discuss what potions our solution might work best for you.

I manually include a specific .js file on all the sites I want it on, and then in that file I generate the IM code using document.write().

Thanks for the input. Say I wanted to include the .js file on each site, then inside of that .js file wanted it to load a remote .js file or at least a remote IM code. Is this possible? Just trying to admin them all from one location but would rather not have the same URL spread across my network.

At a glance; I would write a script to act based on the referring site(you domains)
and that script would serve up the proper .js file. I would embed the script in the
javascript file directory folder using htacces.

So then to change a site/ad/etc.. you just change the redirect script.

I think this does what you want, if i understand you correctly.

i can give you the msn ad im plugin, you just need to activate it and enter your link code, and what description you want.

Thanks fris. Would this be easily edited across 800 sites? As far as switching sponsors.

or you could just add the script on one domain, and have it load in the header on all sites.

Yes you would only edit the one file... all I do is document.write('<script src="http://link.to.sponsor.im.code"></scr'+'ipt>'); (you need to split up the </script> for javascript to flow through it properly).

The reason I went javascript instead of php was so I could use the same file on freehosted blogs and across servers.

That is what I am trying to avoid for SEO reasons.

Again, I appreciate your input. I guess what I meant to say was like a backend script that is hidden within the main js file. Simply for the reason that I don't want the same URL spread across my entire network.

So for example, I would like to load im.js to all sites locally and im.js would communicate with an outside URL to allow me to admin from one location without having the same URL spread across my network.

If that makes any sense at all? Any ideas?

Thanks! :thumbsup
