yes it's the ultimate democracy, the envy of the world, the people of Canada 50 years ago stood in unison and demanded their government invest hundreds of millions of dollars to produce the worst television programs ever conceived. every few years there is a national referendum to ask whether this funding should be continued and every time the people of Canada answer yes, spend more tax money on embarassingly bad television programming. |
