Things about me and VH you didn't know:

-- I bought their debut album about 3 weeks after it came out.

-- I was at the 1984 tour when they hit Winnipeg, 2nd row center. Bon Jovi was the warmup band, all but unkown at the time, I fell asleep during their set. I still have a VH t-shirt from that concert and have had offers of 10x what I paid for it since.

-- Van Halen's "55 ton gun" was, at the time, the largest mobile road show in the world. (Pink Floyd's was the only one larger but was not mobile)

-- There were six young hot ladies standing directly behind me at the 1984 concert. When VH was on they were so turned on by DLR & Co. they all but raped me and my buddy right there in the crowd. I suppose if they couldn't reach the band they were going to have their hands all over whomever was closest. In other words it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Good memories for sure but the "reunion tour" last year or the year before was quite unsatisfying.

i bought the van halen guitar hero a couple of weeks ago, reminded me of some great van halen tracks that i had forgotten such as ice cream man, atomic punk, etc.

always loved that solo. it was PERFECT for the song. Thanks Rowan. :thumbsup

yeah its pretty good. i find some of the songs pretty hard. its got most of the essential van halen and some other stuff, like deep purples space truckin which i really enjoy.

Van Halen Rules (w/ David Lee Roth) I seen them live when they toured for 1984 at MSG.
