Oh I remember that topic. It was over few bucks and boytoy got all pissy and told the guy to fuck off. very classy.

Agent 488 04-18-2010 07:37 PM

weren't they just a spam operation anyway?

SomeCreep 04-18-2010 08:18 PM

they gone

pocketkangaroo 04-18-2010 08:22 PM

Seems like they went broke and couldn't pay affiliates any longer. Know of two people who haven't been paid in months from them.

Seems all the big posters and convention partiers turn out to be scammers.

and / or they waste too much money on parties and conventions and not on their business :winkwink:

Were t hey revshare or PPS ? I don't understand how a revshare affiliate program can go out of business when it has active affiliates. If you are broke just put it on auto pilot, pay your hosting bill and still make money. At one point they must feel the need to take the affiliate's money to pay off their debts and then kill program. Makes no sense. Affiliate money, especially in a rev share deal should be a pass through.

It is hard to factor into convention ROI how many of the people who are the most fun there will turn out to be, not only not helpful to know, but will actually take traffic or whatever and then not be able to pay. I used to really enjoy the conventions, so I'll probably start attending again at some point, or at least keep going to local ones. But, while I appreciate the steak dinners and beer, I really prefer getting paid properly, ya know.

I think they had PPS going on. I was only pushing one site and almost forgot about it. Then I turned out I had fee hundred dollars in my account. Sent them few emails and tickets and nothing. I guess another fuck'em ..

PPS, took a lot of sketchier types of traffic. Most of their sites that I looked at say they no longer are taking signups. I wonder if they just had all their billing pulled or are doing what others were caught doing a year or two ago.

The most succesful businesses in the industry who have been running for a long time don't do any of that crap. They aren't sending some fat guy to a show, having him shave himself in a speedo and posting the crap on the boards. They don't need to. It's the first sign that you're dealing with a company that doesn't have much going on behind the scenes.
