My Femdom Blog *suggestions please*

Hey Guys, so I just started up a niche femdom blog (heres hoping it will convert better), and am handwriting everything myself.

femdom.monkeysmut.com

I've submitted to around 25-30 blog lists yesterday, not really sure how much traffic to expect from that.

Any tips/suggestions to get some traffic here? I want free traffic at first to test how it converts, so I guess that's through google (admittedly I didnt do any keyword research yet, probably should), any other ways of getting some traffic here? Or blog suggestions etc?

Many thanks

start the blog on it's own domain, scrap that subdomain shit. :2 cents:

You could always create a profile and include your link on the bdsm/femdom-related communities that allow it. PM me for more info.

Listen to the Catmeister! Putting ANY effort into a sub domain is a waste of time.

Once you have put the blog onto its own domain I would then suggest the following as some good starting points:-
1. Get a decent SEO plug-in for your blog and make sure it is set up correctly (this means you DO need to do your keyword research first).
2. Add the Google Sitemap Generator plug-in.
3. Find other blogs in similar niches as yours and try to exchange hard links with them.
4. Post links to some of your more interesting topics on forums within the femdom niche.
But DEFINITELY get rid of that sub-domain idea . . . Good luck :thumbsup

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys. I've just got a new domain now and have forwarded my old one to new to retain the existing users

mistress-slaves.com

I have the all in one seo plugin for wordpress and just added the google sitemap generator too. Am now working on getting the blog refined for keywords. Also think I should cloak my aff links and gather user data for when they click links. So am working on that now too. I guess i'll have to re-submit my blog again (ugh lol).

Any other suggestions?

Many thanks

Yep already done. I don't have permissions to edit my first post otherwise I would have updated the URL.

But here it is for any comments/suggestions :)

You'll have to submit your blog to blog directories.

It's all trial and error, you'll get there on your own - it's not an easy start but once things get going, you'll do just fine.

submit and submit...

Shrink that header down considerably. You're pushing too much content down below the fold.

oh I didn't know about a sitemap generator, does that make a big difference? added one now anyway to my blog. :)

purecharlie 09-23-2010 07:10 AM

Yes it does make a big difference because every time the Google Site Map Generator sees new content added to your blog it also notifies Google automatically - sweet :thumbsup
