I hate talking on the phone and would much rather just text. Usually I only have one thing to say and doesn't need a phone call. I use about 1500-2000 text messages per month. Works great while the fiancee is at work too.

easily between 5000 and 10,000 a month. tmobile counts yahoo, icq and aim messages (both sending and receiving as text)

It's my preferred method of contact. If I added in all my instant messages, emails, facebook messages and all other forms of e-contact it would be well over 10,000.

So I was still on the phone quite a bit, talk time was a little over 23 hours and I sent about 160 texts a day. That's pretty normal for me.

I have done around 500 texts in one day with one person about absolutely nothing on more than one occasion.

I txt. if it goes more than two txt msgs I call. Not going to go back n forth for a whole convo.

as few as possible, i prefer to call, saves time, saves sending 5-10 txt messages when it can all be done on the phone, and a call can turn into so much more :D

if you are a guy and text over a 1000 times per month you seriously need to check if you still have your cock and balls.

They're still there. Sometimes there just isn't time for a full on conversation or I'm talking about something that most people won't like I just text it.

Come to think of it I don't think I've spoken with my adult business partner in 6 months and I haven't seen him in person in over 4 years. Everything is done through IM, email or text.

People who use texting because it's "faster" than talking must have super-humanly fast thumbs. I get so frustrated with texting because it takes 5 minutes to tell someone something you could tell them in 5 seconds on the phone.

Texts messages on GFY and/or cell phones are a useful way of communicating something that has to be written with specific spellings, numbers and codes.

Don't ask someone to spell out a long name or number on the phone! Text it in a text message now!

I used to do 5-6k per month.. and way more if you counted AIM/ICQ being online on my phone... now I do maybe 1k per month since I ignore most texts I get, unless it's business related, important(ie. close friend or vagina) :thumbsup
