do you leave them alone in your house? ive already moved the jewelry to underneath my desk...my office in the house is a no go for everyone.

We never leave them along until we know them and even then its very rare. But finding good help is really hard. The lady we had, she was new just lost her job with us. Wife asked her to clean 1 of the upstairs bathrooms that is no normally used and to sweep the walk and driveway. We have a huge broom for it and its easy. She comes back 45 min later says shes done. Wife did not think to check, paid her and let her out the gate. Then realized she did not do either one. Fucking idiot. lady has like 4 part time jobs and this one would have been the best and easiest.

I've never had a cleaning lady but my grandmother has always had one. When my grandfather passed away I went back to her house ahead of her w/ my boyfriend at the time to get shit started and found the cleaning lady sitting on the couch, feet up on the coffee table, watching TV and eating snacks from the house.

Now I know she wasn't stealing or anything, but you pay someone to do a job- do your job and GTFO. I know I was in a sensitive state and what she was doing was far from the worst she could have done, but it's always served as a contributing factor to why I never allow service workers to be alone in the house.

I used to get a team in.. they're expensive but you a get a pink truck with about 15 women turn up and completely do the house in about 2 hours. windows the lot.

I have a company arranging for my home cleaning, I get the same girl every time, Sabina. She's very reliable and I'm usually around to let her in but then I leave her with a key and she locks up after her and either Fedex the key back or keep it till we meet again. The company she works for has a key policy, if they lose the key or I get robbed while they have a key in their posetion, I get reimbursed via their insurance.

I like to know what people come and go in my home, but I don't need to be around watching over their shoulder the whole time.

I would wait till she finish cleaning...

We sorted my grandmother out with a cleaner after she fell off a ladder cleaning a window.

She cleaned the whole house before the cleaner got there because she didn't want her to get the impression that she lived in a dirty house :Oh crap

the first time my cleaning lady came over I left about $200 in cash lying around in the house out in the open- and left the house several times. It was my way of testing her! And the money was in the exact same spot. she basically moved everything in the room except the money!

she passed the test- i am totally comfortable leaving her alone ever since then. I think it's a good test!

I usually have a couple stripper friends of mine clean my place.

They drink all my alcohol, and they never really "finish" cleaning but they do a good enough job, cook me dinner and are usually pretty close to naked.

I have left both of them here alone for long periods of time and never had anything go missing, but they organize the shit out of everything and I can never find it.
