I am very much scared of death. I can't think about it for too long otherwise I get really anxious and depressed. I saw my mother die of lung cancer. How did I deal with it? I honestly don't think I really have dealt with it, and it's been 4 years...

Other than the permanence of it, not really a problem.

I saw plenty of dead people in the war.
I've seen plenty of people die on the roads.
Watched family members die more than a few times.

I have seen more death than I can recall... I don't fear death and when others die, the death part doesn't bother me. I do miss the person though and would rather not see horrid deaths.

I see death as part of the life cycle... everything around us in nature is recycled, life, water, air, dirt, etc. The water today is the same water a hundred millions years ago. I don't see why I'm so unique that I wouldn't be part of the overall life cycle that repeats, like everything else is. Actually, to me it would be rather simple minded to think otherwise.
