So I went to the store a couple of hours ago
 

...and when I left the store I found a wallet in the parking lot. The wallet had two hundred and twenty-six dollars in it...credit cards etc. When I got home I looked in the phone book to see if the person was listed locally and she was. I called...got an answering machine...and left a message. A few minutes ago the lady came by the house and picked up her wallet. She did not even know that she had lost it before listening to my message.

She offered me a twenty dollar bill but I refused it.

I probaly would have done the same too.still nice if they offer one.One time an old man dropped like 2500 bucks in front of me and didn't realize it.I didn't hesitate for a second to yell at him and returned it.He offered me 5 bucks as a reward,I smiled and walked away

Oh she thanked me alright...but seemed to be more thankful that her husband was not home to answer my phone call.

I've dropped my wallet before and had it returned. I just handed the person whatever cash was in there (most $100) because the important things (license, debit cards, etc) were returned to me, could have gotten more cash but everything would have been a huge bitch without an ID or ATM card.

all he did tonight was microwave a TV dinner and ate it by himself while playing the sims on the computer.

There are still some nice people in the world. I was at an ATM and thought it hadn't worked (the usual epass issues) so I was walking off slightly pissed when the lady behind me politely pointed out that my cash (about $USD250) was actually sitting in the dispenser.

I would of returned it to but by mail, fucked if I would want some stranger woman or not coming to my house...

Hubby will find the message and visit you next lol...

Anyway, once happened to me that I was waiting at ATM and two girls with a small kid were doing something. Once they finished, I've stepped in and they told me: don't bother with it. They went away, and I saw someones card in ATM. They were trying to take money from it actually. Stupid enough to try without security code.
