Prediction...2010....Visa.....
Mass exodus from merchant accounts back to 3rd party processing.
Already see a few programs have made the switch back to 3rd party. Mainly the ones totally reliant on selling their cross sells. If your ratios were bad with those programs on merchants, expect even lower throughput going forward. Industry is about to shrink :) |
Sounds kinda familiar. Had to check the post date to make sure this wasnt from 2002 :)

btw i would like that prediction actually happen |
it would be also great if some global mainstream billings join adult. current ones we got are retards and there's no real competition on the market
|
Throughput on 3rd party is always worse because of stricter AVS checks and a larger negative/scrub DB.
|
Can't use Visa at any of the DMV's in Florida anymore

As i have said before this could and will shut entire programs down that were 80% reliant on defrauding members.
It will be fun to watch the next wave of (OMG i dident get paid threads). |
Any examples?

When you have your own mechant account you can manually force and take a risk on suspect transactions. 3rd party processors won't take the risk. They rely on their scrub DB and that's that. With your own Merchant account you can choose to turn your avs scrub on or off.

"Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) announced today it is taking another step in an ongoing effort to protect consumer security and confidence in the payment system by prohibiting web merchants from providing cardholder information to other companies without the consumer's knowledge or active consent." |
and why CCBill has a few days each month with virtually 0 transactions all over the system?
|
