Creationist Propaganda (Or, how not to educate)

CaptainHowdy 04-28-2010 01:13 PM

Creationism can be fun!

Darkland 04-28-2010 02:48 PM

The scariest part of that video is near the end when they say... "God said it, I believe it, that settles it."

Are these people so far gone as to not even understand the simplest of logic or understanding? I was in a church for 20 years, starting when I was still in diapers. I have read the bible and studied it many, many times. And guess what? God NEVER says anything in the entire thing. At best, you have people claiming that god talked to them or through them...

What would you call a person like that today? A fuckin nutjob. Even most christians would never believe in a modern day "prophet." We have looney bins full of these type of people all over the world.

Also, lets just forget the ludicrous creation tale because WHO WAS AROUND TO SEE IT OR WRITE ABOUT IT? I mean the book itself said that man wasn't even around until the Sixth day! At best you have a story past down from generation to generation. ALL cultures have a creation story... Why? Because as dumb as they were they asked the same shit we do today, "Where did we come from?" so they made up a story and Religion is the end result.

To be religious is to hand over logic, rationality, and reason. Even the founder of the Lutheran Church, Martin Luther, saw "reason" as the enemy of faith.

:upsidedow

trevesty 04-28-2010 03:35 PM

Fucking idiots, the lot of 'em.

smutnut 04-28-2010 03:44 PM

That's actually psychological child abuse. The guy should be arrested.

But people need to be able to explain evolution in a much more understandable way and also explain that God is irrelevant in your day to day activities since we cannot understand his ways :winkwink::winkwink:

MaDalton 04-28-2010 03:54 PM

since even the Vatican acknowledged evolution, this "creationism" thing is pretty much pointless

MaDalton 04-28-2010 04:00 PM

and after watching the video i'd say the guy needs to be locked away in a room with soft walls

Fletch XXX 04-28-2010 04:01 PM

It seems like the protestant evangelist thing is far scarier than the roman catholic system now once you pass puberty (if you're male). Seriously though.

Let's not forget that Catholic priests like to more than merely psychologically abuse children.

A Catholic priest anticipated what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the Universe. These ignorant fucks are protestant. America needs to stop pointing its fingers at Islam and see what is going on in their own backyards.

GatorB 04-28-2010 07:08 PM

And we wonder why America keeps falling back when it comes to how educated their population is. You think kids in India are being taught Hinuism creation stories in SCIENCE class? Hell no.

papill0n 04-28-2010 07:17 PM

poorly educated people unable to grip the bigger picture

Actually yes, some Hinduism supports the idea of creationism. As do some Jews, Islam followers, etc...

Fletch XXX 04-28-2010 07:31 PM

in fact this creationist shit puts them more in line with Islamists and shit man!

"Islamic creationism is the belief that the universe (including humanity) was directly created by God as explained in the Qur'an."

Tickler 04-28-2010 11:39 PM

And the Texas Board of Education is rewriting all the text books to suit the right wing bible thumpers

Islam, Judaism and Christianity all believe in the same god. Where Judaism and Islam diverge is Judaism follows Abraham's Isaac while Islam follows his other son Ishmael

Now where in there did I say Hindus didn't have a creation story? I said they weren't being taught them in science class. ALL religions have a creation story. Pretty much common sense. I didn't think I had to EXPLAIN that to you. You're either retarded or you like to start shit.

Serial Pervert 04-29-2010 07:24 AM

creationism makes me laugh.

Tom_PM 04-29-2010 09:35 AM

People are idiots. What else needs to be said really?

Here's the solution. Everything written in every book was by humans, so set it all aside. If some suepr natural being created the big bang, then it resolves all differences. Praise the lorp.
